How GALILEO Supports the Common Core GPS

If you’re reading through the new Common Core Georgia Performance Standards and wondering what electronic resources you have to support them, we’ve put together this handout, How GALILEO Supports the Common Core. It includes talking points to help you start a conversation with teachers about the digital media you have to support student projects. This handout is customizable. Please feel free to change it to suit your grade level and the print and electronic resources that you offer in your media center.

In addition to the handout, you can find a slide presentation from recent GALILEO trainings, GALILEO: A Sure Fit for CCGPS.

Training sessions on topics of interest to the K-12 community will be scheduled soon, so check back to the GALILEO Training page as you are starting the school year. If you are interested in a free, in-person GALILEO training for your school system, please use the GALILEO Contact Us form to request that.

Starting late July, we will also start adding GLMA blog posts that highlight curriculum tools and other educator resources, ways to include GALILEO in your media center or classroom sites, and much more. So, stay tuned…

As always, if you have questions or comments, please contact us!
