Authoring

As a guest blogger, you will have rights to post and edit comments as well as upload files.  Please use the username and password I emailed to you or you may chose to set up your own user account at WordPress.  If you chose to create your own usename send the email you used to register at WordPress to me at mediainthemiddle@gmail.com , I will add you as an author on the blog.

This allows you to post comments and start conversation strings while signed in to WordPress.

Sign in to WordPress

At the top of the page you will see My Dashboard, click on it

Click on Write

Enter a descriptive title for your post

Write your post in the Post box.  You can choose to write in the Visual tab or the Code tab.  Either way, there are tools to use such as Bold, Italicize, Tab, Bullet list, Numbered list, Hyperlinks, etc.

You can upload pictures, files, etc.  Use the Upload area to do this and then insert the item in your post.

Choose a category for your post.  Please be judicious about adding categories.  Keep the tags descriptive, but short.  (i.e. Reading, Nonfiction, Musing, etc)

When you are satisfied with your post, click Publish

You are now officially a blogger!  Congratulations!
