We can do it!
A Georgian from Duluth was the 15,369th signature on AASL President Carl Harvey’s White House petition to ensure that every child has access to an effective school library. Let’s see if another Georgian can’t be the 25,000th signature!
You can find instructions about how to sign the petition at the petition lessons wiki. The signing process requires two steps. You first create an account and then you receive a confirmatory e-mail. THEN you can log in and sign!
This link will take you directly to the petition.
Work your twitter/facebook networks and ask your spouse/significant other/parents/children over the age of 13 to sign. Pull up the petition on a library computer before or after school and ask the first two adults who walk in to register and sign. We really can do this!!
